Jack Hannon Hurt In Camp Accident
Jack Hannon suffered a broken leg and arm and skull fractures in a logging camp accident in Fairview Tuesday of last week. He remained unconscious for several days after being taken to Mast hospital in Myrtle Point and was reported somewhat better this morning with recovery expected. Mrs Hannon and their two daughters Dolores and Shirley were visiting from Powera for the weekend and his mother Mrs McCamble of North Dakota arrived to be at his bedside.

Sophomores Win Tug-of-War at Union High
The sophomore team defeated the freshmen in a tug-of-war held Friday at 3 15 p m on the Union High School athletic grounds. Enrollment stands at 197, similar to normal.
