Pioneer Rancher and Banker Andrew Radabaugh Dies at 83

Andrew J. Radabaugh 83 a long time Coquille valley resident and former president of the Bank of Myrtle Point died Tuesday at Belle Knife Hospital Coquille after a throat ailment operation Funeral services were held at Schroeder funeral chapel Myrtle Point with Rev R W Wiley and interment in Norway cemetery He never married and is survived by two sisters-in-law from Myrtle Point and Eugene.

Fair and Rodeo Highlights At Myrtle Point Event

Austin Dodge drew praise for public address handling and program publicity. Oregon Women's Ambulance Corps led by Lt Katherine Train and Lt Ora Johnson provided first aid support throughout the rodeo. Myrtle Point units and a Ten Mile unit, plus Capt Jacqueline Braden, Lt LaEmme Grant, and Lt Ora Johnson, participated in the Sunday parade. Oregon State Guard under Capt John Farleigh joined the parade.

Myrtle Point English Teacher Enlists in WAVES Training

Miss Fry taught English and directed the Roseburg junior high orchestra before enlisting in the WAVES. She will train at Hunter College and Columbia University after recruitment, joining her twin brother Roland E. Fry, a staff sergeant in the Army Air Forces. The Goolds moved from Myrtle Point to Medford due to Chas. Goold's company transfer.

Pioneer Woman Ida Hansen to be Buried Friday

Ida Agnes Jackson Hansen born May 19 1868 Ukiah California came to Oregon in 1879 married K H Hansen March 28 1886 and lived Gravel Ford and Myrtle Point. She died at home Monday from a heart ailment and is survived by two of her children Mia Metta Rosslow and Florence M Andrews. Funeral services at Schroeder funeral chapel Friday at 1 pm with Eastern Star participation and burial at Gravel Ford cemetery. Rev Marion Stern to preside.
