Army Engineers advertise for bids to build about 700 feet of setback levy on the Crockett ranch between Myrtle Point and Coquille. The project would protect 326 acres of bottom land and prevent a washout of the Southern Pacific track and Georgia Pacific pond near Johnson Mill road. Funds to be allocated by Congress as projects do not qualify for emergency funds.
