About 4 500 voters in Coos County were removed from the registration list as the Secretary of State purged the polls due to undelivered voters pamphlets. Only 500 have since supplied correct residence and mailing addresses to the Coos County Clerk's election division. Check with the Election Department at the Courthouse in Coquille if you did not receive a May primary pamphlet, and note the final November registration deadline is October 5 at 5 p.m.

Ross Pinkley, a longtime Coquille Valley banker, joins the Bank of Myrtle Point as a loan officer. He previously ran Security Bank of Coos County’s Coquille branch for 3 1/2 years and lived in Myrtle Point for 38 years. He served as Myrtle Point mayor from 1960 to 1984 and is active in local clubs with his wife Ariens and three children.
