Coquille Voters Approve Hospital Bond Issue
Coquille area residents approved a bond issue to build a new hospital by a large margin last Monday. Mast Hospital in Myrtle Point will convert to an extended care facility once the new hospital opens in about 18 months. The bond sale will take 5 6 weeks, with weather delaying construction start.

Public Hearing on Community Action Agency Operation
The Office of the Governor sets a September 13 1968 2:30 p.m. hearing at Sitkum Hall Room 1 Southwestern Oregon Community College Coos Bay to decide who will operate the Community Action Agency for Coos Curry and Western Douglas Counties after February 1 1969.
