Fractures Arm In Pall Saturday

Keanniksen fractured his right shoulder while packing at home in Geravelford on Saturday. He was taken to Mast hospital in Myrtle Point where the fracture was reduced and the arm placed in a sling. He is the son of Mr and Mrs Bonniksen of Caravelford.

Two Men Arrested Over Theft At SERA Camp In Fairview

County arrests Jun Jeordon Brown 28 and James FE Stevens 25 after a theft at the SERA transient camp in Fairview. Brown is charged with drunk in public and serving 60 days with 10 parole. Stevens accused of petit larceny and also serving 60 days with parole. They allegedly stole camp clothes and tried to sell them to a Coquille second hand store.

Two Plead Guilty In Home Robbery Case

In Oregon, Everett L Simpkins age 22 and Leonard Ul der 28 pleaded guilty to larceny in a dwelling for entering Dr L C Garner’s home in North Bend. Man Loses Thumb In Accident At Gravel Pit

James Devereux of Gaylord lost his left thumb when it was severed by gears while greasing a grease cup at the Gaylord gravel pit about 8:45 this morning. He was rushed to Mast Hospital for treatment.

Kindergarten Opens Monday at Myrtle Point Church

Mrs Fred Lafferty announces a private kindergarten opening this Monday at the Christian church social rooms in Myrtle Point. The newly decorated room will offer preschool rhythm art storytelling health training and other child oriented courses. Pigeon Joins Local Mystery After Return to Haven

A small light colored homing pigeon with bands VHS 35340 alum and 254T rubber was found by a resident at Fairview. She returned the bands, fed the bird, and observed it sleep then fly away. City Council Razes Hazards and Forms Budget Committee

At a Tuesday night city council meeting in the city hall actions included appointing a budget committee to draft the coming year's budget for 1935-1836 led by N G W Perkins and others, licensing a cardroom for Donald Nelson and Ernest Bender, and ordering the razing of condemned buildings owned by Amanda Weekly of Coquille and the Weeklys of Myrtle Point on land owned by Amanda Widby and Ceos County. The ordinance directs the city recorder to solicit bids for razing, with property owners notified. work to begin by late October. Two Bears Killed At Eckley Monday

Bill Eads on his way to Myrtle Point from Eckley ranch killed an 800 pound bear he claimed to have shot on the street. The next day Mr and Mrs Millard Carlile of Gaylord saw a 500 pound bear in the Hermann orchard hidden in a tree above pear picking and fled when the leaves rustled.

Fellowship Meet Brings Churches Together for Rally Day Plans

A Tuesday night fellowship at the Presbyterian church gathered pastors Sunday school superintendents and lay representatives with wives to discuss fall and winter religious work. Rev W C Cronk chaired a committee to plan Rally Day Sunday programs and Go-to-Church Sunday services on October 6. Burglar Steals $100 From Local Grocery Safe

A Thursday night robbery at the Dunham Grocery netted about $100 from the safe, mostly paper money and coins. The thief apparently did not force the safe and left via the front door, avoiding a public escape. no arrest yet. An Associated feature notes a band performance by Marshfield High.

A Sunday picnic at Mrs. Emma Hermann’s Roseburg road home brought together 22 relatives after a three year separation.
