Funeral services will be held at 10:30 from the Coquille Tabernacle for Mrs Grant Harry who died of heart trouble Monday in Coquille. Born October 9 1889 she came from California to Coos county in 1919. She was married to Grant Harry in 1931 and was a active Tabernacle worker and respected matron. Survivors include her widower two daughters four sons and a sister living in California Oregon and Washington.

Clarence Leroy Russell and Florence Chopin of Bandon wed August 29 at Justice J Stanley's office. Albert E Evenson of North Bend and Anna Mae Christiansen of Lakeside obtained a license September 1.
More than 60 members and descendants of the Randleman family who settled Bear creek in October 1872 gathered for a reunion and picnic on the old Randleman homestead site four miles south of Bear creek mouth. The event featured a tame deer exhibit by E M Randleman and included many relatives from Norway, Bear Creek, Marshfield, Roseburg, Bandon and North Bend.
Southern Pacific announces new overnight freight service to Portland improving access for Coos and Curry counties. The program includes pickup and delivery via Pacific Motor Transport and shipments handled on passenger trains from Marshfield each evening at 7 pm and from Portside.
Daniel Barklow Jr died at 71 after a heart attack. He was a longtime Myrtle Point resident and prominent local pioneer who helped settle Coos County, ran a livery stable and mail contract, later operated a grocery and dairying business, and leaves five sons and a daughter. Funeral services were conducted by Schroeder Brothers at the Brethren church with Kev F H Sarr officiating. interment followed in the Barklow family plot at Norway cemetery.
Mr and Mrs Albert Carver of Myrtle Point purchased a small tract of land at Brewster Valley from Hatley Laird and started building a house with the first load of lumber hauled Monday morning.
A quiet Saturday ceremony at the home of Mr and Mrs Frank True in Marshfield united Billie Lund daughter of Mr and Mrs P O Lund Coquille with David Brown Myrtle Point son of Mr and Mrs Roy Brown The couple attended by Frank True Delores Bellon and Stanley Furman Myrtle Point. The pair plan to reside locally and attend school in Myrtle Point.
Mrs Amy K Gusrie wed Willlae teen in a quiet Juneau ceremony August 16 1086 conducted by Rev Erling K Otaloce at the Recure rection Lutheran. The bride has lived in Juneau many years and the groom works with the US Forest Service with mining interests.
