Aged Coquille Woman Dies

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 from the Coquille Tabernacle for Mrs Grant Harry who died of heart trouble Monday in Coquille. Born October 9 1889 she came from California to Coos county in 1919. She was married to Grant Harry in 1931 and was a active Tabernacle worker and respected matron. Survivors include her widower two daughters four sons and a sister living in California Oregon and Washington.

Famous Pioneer Daniel Barklow Jr Dies At 71

Daniel Barklow Jr died at 71 after a heart attack. He was a longtime Myrtle Point resident and prominent local pioneer who helped settle Coos County, ran a livery stable and mail contract, later operated a grocery and dairying business, and leaves five sons and a daughter. Funeral services were conducted by Schroeder Brothers at the Brethren church with Kev F H Sarr officiating. interment followed in the Barklow family plot at Norway cemetery.
