Mrs. Russell Case and Mrs. Yeigh Gustison explained Three Hearts in a Child's Community at a Milner Crest school workshop. Coos county PTA leaders outlined using policy, parent education, and programming to boost local units, with films and National and Oregon congress publications as tools.

Mrs Case explained the Oregon Congress tuition scholarship plan for three Coos county high school graduates who will receive four years of college as long as they maintain a grade average. Mrs Gustison noted PTA teacher membership and parent involvement levels and urged growth. Milner Crest PTA members provided refreshments at the meeting after a potluck at the McBride home honoring the honorees.

Oregon Milking Shorthorn Sale Set for November 2
The Oregon Milking Shorthorn Breeders Association announces plans for its eight annual all female sale to be held November 2 at the Oregon State Fair grounds in Salem. FBI Gillespie of Salem will auctioneer with animals displayed in the show barn from morning hours. Twenty three registered milking Shorthorn females from fourteen Oregon breeders and some from Washington are consigned. breakfast and coffee served to buyers and consignors.
