Myrtle Point Homecoming Plans Highlight Friday Event
Myrtle Point High School outlines Homecoming 1957 at the Myrtle Point Union High School football field. Bobcats play Newport with an 8:30 PM kickoff followed by a halftime salute to alumni, a marching band performance, and the crowning of the Football Queen and court. Patsy Bateman Eileen Csergel Marilyn Stringer and Shelby Johnson are queen candidates. A dance in the cafetorium will cap the evening with crowning by Lettermen and Student Body President Keith Schroeder. Alumni and parents are invited with a small admission charge.

Myrtle Point Blood Drive Surpasses 90 Pint Goal

Mrs Clarence Barton reports Senator R F Chapman has fully recovered from a recent heart attack and will attend the Oregon Legislature special session in Salem on October 28.
