Oregon measure would ban inland salmon and steelhead fishing

The proposal would stop all commercial fishing for salmon and steelhead in Oregon inland waters including the Columbia River and Tillamook Bay. Proponents argue catches are depleted by commercial fishing and that recreational fishing would benefit, while supporters say spawning access would boost future numbers and offshore fishing.
