First Methodist Church in Myrtle Point Marks 75th Anniversary
Nearly a hundred attended a banquet at the high school following a Sunday service to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the First Methodist church of Myrtle Point. Mrs Gin Ly Olin Lay Dies in Powers Oklahoma
Mrs Gin Ly known as Vinnie B Lay died Tuesday in Powers Oklahoma. Born September 6 1880 in Chetesa Indiana Territory now Oklahoma she married Olin Lay July 28 1919. She taught in Oklahoma, served as Gore's secretary during WWI and postmistress for twelve years. Survived by husband four grandchildren and several Beaty relatives. Funeral at Schroeder Brothers Mortuary.
