Parks Named for Myrtle Point Donors Lehnherr Pioneer and Rotary Park
The Myrtle Point city council designated two new parks Lehnherr Pioneer Park and Rotary Park. Lehnherr founder Christian Lehnherr, born 1816 in Berne Switzerland, arrived in Oregon in 1851 and deeded the park for public use. Rotary Park was bought by Rotary members and given to the city with a stipulation that the park be used for public purposes and include the word Rotary in its name.
