The next Court of Honor on Tuesday Nov 27 will award merit badges to Dennis Wisby and others for safety swimming public speaking and Isham. Patrols include John Heeren Chet Weed Martin Kincheloe Milton Schroeder. The troop has 26 members and needs six more to form four patrols of eight. December activities include repairing broken toys and selling Christmas trees. A $5.06 gift from Albert Breuer was received.

National Sheep Breeders gather in Portland for a four day convention December 4 to 7. The theme is Increased Production to bolster wool meat and resource use, with sheep populations rising 4 percent in 1950 and expected higher in 1951. Delegates from Oregon and Washington attend with their spouses.
In Coos county farmers will attend five community meetings next week to elect a three member committee with two alternates for the Federal Farm Program. A session at Myrtle Point High School begins at 10 a.m. Tuesday with other towns including North Bend Coos Bay and Coquille following at city halls and schools.
