Flooding eased as a three day storm dumped heavy rain on Coquille. record rainfall peaked Friday with 5.87 inches and the river rose 18 feet in 13 hours. Bridges and roads were damaged across the county with several washes and slides isolating Rock Creek Myrtle Creek areas. A major log drive moved nearly forty million board feet of timber down the Coquille East Fork as conditions finally stabilized Saturday night near Myrtle Point.
