The Myrtle Point Bobcats defeated Coquille 35 to 6 to remain unbeaten and defend their county lead. About one hundred couples attended the Junior Woman's club Sadie Hawkins dance and carnival at the VFW hall Saturday night. The event netted around one hundred dollars from ticket sales and carnival features. The hall featured corn, pumpkins, cartoons, streamers, and parsley corsages. The Potecats From Skonk Hollow, a high school boys group in overalls with charcoal whiskers, supplied costumes and humor. Dancers wore print dresses and overalls amid a lively but orderly crowd.

Swing Out Three Act Comedy At Myrtle Point Friday
Myrtle Point residents will see a three act comedy "Swing Out" at the high school auditorium at 8 o clock Friday night. Local adults lead the cast with Mrs Ralph Long and Miss Jo Woolsey among those in the company along with high and junior high school choruses. The Junior Woman's Club sponsors the show and a Most Popular Baby contest with votes costing one cent each. Kathleen McCormick directs the play and contest and plans to depart Myrtle Point Saturday after two weeks of production work.
