A Coos County PUD hearing took place in Coquille with no vocal opposition. Thirteen property owners and Weyerhaeuser Timber asked to exclude holdings in Templeton and Lakeside from the proposed district. Young Powers Couple Married in Powers Home

The groom is a Powers High School class of 1937 graduate and the bride is the fourth member of the class of 1938 to marry.

Death of Myrtle Point Resident George Wilson

George Washington Wilson died at his Myrtle Point home on Seventh Street Friday November 10 1938 from a cerebral hemorrhage. Born July 30 1884 in Ferndale California he moved to the area as a child. He married Alma Grice Sargent in 1907 and is survived by his wife four sons Thomas of Prineville Manley Harry Earl of Myrtle Point and four daughters Hazel Rice Margaret Whobrey of Myrtle Point Louise and Maxine Wilson of Los Angeles. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the MorWay funeral home and grave at MorWay cemetery.
