Mra Oliver Miller Moves to Ashland in Illness Recovery

Oliver Miller of South Catching Creek moved last week to Ashland to live with her brother in law Russell Miller who arrived Friday. Her husband will stay at Mast hospital for now and may join her later. The cataract in a small boy’s eye worsened into a systemic infection, leading to removal of the eye to save his life. the patient’s condition has slightly improved since surgery.

Pressler Works as Assayor in New Mexico Mines

Mrs Walter Sykes reports her son Jean W Pressler took a September post as assayor for a large mining company in Baldy New Mexico near Ute Park. A Colorado School of Mines graduate class of 1936 he previously led a tantalum department in Chicago before returning to Myrtle Point to prospect near Salmon Mountain.

Jacqueline Yeomana Yeomana Pearce, 62, a prominent Myrtle Point resident since 1903, widow of LH Pearce, died Tuesday at 828 Tue 4a morning Nov 2 1937 after a decade of invalidism. Junior High Neophyte Players hold Saturday sale for theater gear

The Neophyte Players, 32 eighth graders under Miss Margaret Chase, plan a Saturday fundraiser at Schroeder Furniture to buy curtains and stage equipment. Sunday Flue Blaze Attracts Crowd in Myrtle Point

Fire officials responded to a Sunday evening blaze at 428 C Street, Myrtle Point, caused when a boy piled inflammable wood on a furnace flu.
