The ceremony featured flower girls and a wedding march by Themes Forrest. Mingo Orlin Lett sang with the choir as Best Man Stanley Furman stood for his brother. Ushers included Charles Hendershott and Thomas Perkins. A reception followed at the bride’s home and out of town guests were listed along with jewel presentations.
Miss Qeele James daughter of Mr and Mrs James of this city married James Durkin of Hoopa California at the Assembly of God church on Wednesday the 19th Rev Carl Rowe officiating. The bride wore white satin with a white Bible and single blossom. Guests numbered 125 and a reception followed. The couple will reside in Hoopa where Durkin serves as assistant pastor.
Mrs Frank Southmayd hosted the regular EG Club meeting at her home last Thursday afternoon. Guests included Mesdames John Caudle Ellis Southmayd Rudy Rocheck Percy Barzee 5 F Ste v en e Ray Shull Elden Ansley C B Holland Kiner Neilson Joe Mast Clifford Burley. The next meeting is scheduled for June 18 the third Friday.
Miss Juanita Griffin marked her sixth birthday with a luncheon at her parents home on Wednesday. Guests included Mary Kay Barklow Carole Furman Gerald Caudle Dennis Andrea Lehmanowsky Leila Schroeder Rex Allyn Breuer and other friends. The afternoon featured games and plastic hat favors filled with candy. Installation of officers is set for June 8 with mothers as honored guests and Rev. W. A. Briggs to give the address at graduation exercises.
