Myrtle Crest track team finishes the 1966 season undefeated at the Coos Qua league meet held last Saturday in Reedsport. The Cresters earned 170 points, 92 ahead of the nearest rival, broke five school records, and set 12 season marks while earning achievement awards for Capt. Dennis Wine Danny Neal Stan Grove Dennis Wise and others. Coach Maurice Middleton praised the squad as the greatest in five years amid a banquet honoring the champions.

A CB radio jamboree is planned for the Myrtle Point fairgrounds this weekend with over 700 expected. Organizers Harold Welch Jim Paulius and Dick Barklow say the event boosts emergency work and civilian defense cooperation with free coffee and prizes and a 9 pm Saturday western dance featuring an Eugene CB band. Sunday hosts a 1 pm potluck, with visitors from across the state and local merchants supporting the event.
