Dal King dies Monday in Eugene
Former Circuit Court Judge Dal King of Myrtle Point died Monday in Eugene at Sacred Heart Hospital after major surgery. Born January 14, 1893, he attended the University of Oregon and served in World War I before a long legal career from Myrtle Point to the Oregon bench and Supreme Court pro tempore assignments. He retired December 31, 1964, and is survived by his widow Eleanor and several siblings.

Eugene man hired as Myrtle Crest principal
The Myrtle Point District 4 school board unanimously approved Ray Hajduk of Eugene as principal of Myra Crest School for the 1975 76 year. He replaces retiree Paul Franzen and will be assisted by Lowell Bick as assistant principal. Hajduk has 12 years in education with roles from teacher to vice principal and has extensive experience with alternative programs and athletics.
