The American Legion paid the final installment to retire the mortgage on the Air Lock machine donated to Mast hospital for premature and underprivileged babies. Fair Board Favors City Contract for Oaks Pavilion
Coos County Fair Board at its May meeting reaffirmed plans to let the Myrtle Point Lions Club modernize Oaks Pavilion interior if the city assumes maintenance and insurance. The board would roof and rebuild the foundation, lease the building for community use except during the fair. A committee was authorized to finalize terms with Myrtle Point council and Lions Club and report at the June meeting. Lions Club ad sales for the fair book continue, with the book due to print in June.
