The Oregon State Fair opens August 30 1963 with a new theme Come For Fun and expanded attractions including Johnny Rivers Mule acts the world’s only high diving mule and a star studded revue headed by Jimmie Rodgers. The Oregon talent show returns daily and admission to the fair grounds for the revue is free this year.
Charlies Ladd, chief farm forester, urges woodland owners affected by the Columbus Day storm to salvage downed timber with portable sawmills. He notes quicker salvage Benefits and mentions local stationary mills offering custom sawing. farmers should contact county agents or state forester offices for mill names.
Sealed bids for leasing a 2300 square foot fire hall building at Lot 1 Block 10 Extension Myrtle Point Coos County Oregon will be received until 8:00 PM Monday June 3 and opened publicly.
