Oswego Woman Dies After Heart Attack
Mrs. Martha Poimp s Poimps aged seven years died last night at the Lawrence Jennings home in Remote after a heart attack. The body is at Schroeder funeral home. She came from Oswego Oregon to visit Mrs N E Benham of Bridge. The Benham family and guest were returning from Sandy Creek when illness struck. Dr Earl Wilson of Myrtle Point responded but she had died. A local physician note appears irrelevant to the event.

New Street Lights Turn On Tonight on Spruce Street
C C Archibald and crew of Mountain States Power have finished installing new light brackets on Spruce street with juice to be turned on tonight. The system starts at First street with poles from West Coast Telephone Co and a light per street corner and one per block. Bulbs boast higher candle power and the new lighting will be more satisfactory than the old. Additional residential lights will follow as crews complete work.

Truck Turnover Near Coffee Cup Ranch In Milk Run
David Brown drove a Myrt's Gold Creamery delivery truck that turned over on the highway near Coffee Cup ranch last night. A rope dangling from the car allegedly entangled in a wheel, causing the crash. Arthur Pierson rode as passenger on the milk run home.

Eureka Caravan Planned for Early June From Coos County
The Myrtle Point Chamber of Commerce endorsed a Coos County caravan to Eureka California for June 7 8 or 9. Travelers would depart around 8 am with lunch in Crescent City and a day in Eureka, returning the next day. A Grants Pass Crescent City route option was also discussed. The trip aims to strengthen friendly ties between Coos County and northern California communities along Roosevelt and Redwood highways. Further plans will be discussed at monthly Chamber meetings.
