City Council Plans New Walks After Dangerous Condition
The Myrtle Point city council ordered new concrete walks on West Maple and Seventh streets. Maple Walk replaces a dangerous prior path linked to a potential damage suit, while Seventh Walk on the east side north of Harria Street was closed by the marshal due to danger. The Leach estate and others own Seventh Walk property. Maple Walk involves Grandy Auama Barklow Mitchell and Cooper of the Myrtle Point Greenhouse sought water use for livelihood, granted with metering and a motor installed. The council met in executive session over the possible damage suit from Mitchell’s injury, with bills approved for various city services and contractors.

Boy Daniels aged 19 died after a mishap in Camp Thego, Cumberland, Tuesday forenoon. Ross Barnes was badly injured while pulling a rigging line. both were taken to a Coquille hospital where the youth died.

Boy Violates Parole In Juvenile Court Hearing
A juvenile court session in Coos Bay behind closed doors heard the complaint against Hugh Hamilton, 17, son of Gus Hamilton of Sumner, charged with violating parole from the boys' state training school and involved in several other cases. Dora mourns Benjamin Franklin Howe after a ten week illness of heart trouble. Born in Dora, he spent a decade in government service in Marshfield and Globe before returning home. He married Blanche McDonald in 1924 and leaves a wife, two children, two sisters, three brothers, and a half sister. Funeral services Friday at 2:30 pm at Dora Methodist Church with Rev Omer Idso officiating.

Fire destroys Gaylord home of Mr and Mrs Bones
