Porter Qualifies for State Track Meet in Javelin

Myrtle Point senior Porter Dim qualified for the state meet in the javelin at Corvallis after earning the Coos County track record with a 161 feet 11 inches toss at the May 2 meet in Coos County. Shipments from Marshfield and North Bend also advanced in javelin, shot put, and mile events as 22 county athletes and four coaches traveled to Medford for the district meet.
