Word says Aus the Dodge has been named district manager of the Assurance society's office at Dodge. He traveled to Eugene and Portland last week, returning Saturday, as part of preparations for his duties. Hoffman of Rosburg, brother-in-law of RHH, will join the Hiland theater staff and has been hired by the hospital for the new addition. A second Portland trip was made to finalize arrangements. Austin

Eugene Adame, Avetia Ralph and sons Clarence and William with their hounds bagged a 400 pound male brown bear. Adam killed the bear with a 22 rifle. Two of Ralphs hounds were badly injured. The bear had been slaughtering J L Knight s sheep.
