Coos county interscholastic track meet scheduled for May 4 at the Myrtle Point fair grounds. J N Roberts grocery closed early this week with a notice of goods attached by Dr R H Mast. Roberts, a longtime Myrtle Point grocer, recently fell ill and was hospitalized at Mast and Wilson. The store faces hospital bill stakes as the attachment protects medical costs. Roberts has a Kansas sister due soon to bring him back home. Chas Brodrick family moved into a home bought from Archie Bush on Fourth Street.

Senior class play Am I Intruding to be staged at high school

Myrtle Point Typing Team Captures State Championship
Myrtle Point high school typing team won the Oregon state contest in Corvallis with an average of 67.09 wpm, setting a new speed record. Members Reneva Volkmar Elma Russell Doris Mann and Margaret Lover helped secure the cup and top team honors coached by Eleanor Saubert. Dolly Richards Baker won the amateur gold with 83.31 wpm. Edna Helen Jones Medford set the novice record. Dallas took top team accuracy at 91.46 percent. Thirty seven schools competed.
