Five MPHS Students to Participate in Annual May Music Festival

Reverend Charles Wolff 81 Dies After Long Ministry
Retired minister Reverend Charles E. Wolff died April 28 in Myrtle Point at age 81. Born August 8, 1885 in Beatrice Nebraska, he began ministry at 21 and served in Bandon and Myrtle Point since 1924. Survived by son Glenn and several daughters, two brothers, two sisters, 10 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. Services held May 1 at Myrtle Point Funeral Home with Reverend Bill Wash officiating. interment at Myrtle Crest Memorial Gardens in Coquille.

At the April 26 meeting the Scheol school board approved contracts for five new instructors Ronald Wardman Tone Marie Wardman Ethel McCulloch Marian Kligel and Janis McKay while reading and accepting resignations from high school instructors Lloyd Wells and Ronald Handke. The board also discussed OSAA changes and approved a 16 team five day basketball tournament and adopted the 1967 68 calendar with 179 instructional days and 10 vacation days.
