AFS Banquet Set For May 29 To Support Exchange Program
America Field service is forming a Myrtle Palm area charter to bring an exchange student for the coming year. A banquet to raise funds is set for Thursday May 29 at 7 p.m. at the Elks Club. Reservations to Mrs Jones Sixberry or Mrs Ann Mast. The rate is 3 per person. The local chapter seeks a host for each table of five couples. Hosts bring dessert and fill the table with friends. Superintendent Gerald Bennett and Board Chairman Glenn Gulstrom attended the 1975 National School Boards Association convention in Miami Beach April 18 to 22. The event drew over 21 000 leaders from the United States and Canada for nearly 200 meetings and a large product exhibit. Gulstrom announced next year will be in San Francisco and urged broad board involvement.
