Fire destroys Dr Engstrom home in Myrtle Point
The home of Dr Edward Engstrom and wife at 834 Stover Lane was gutted by a fast moving blaze around 6 am Saturday. Neighbors heard explosions, Fire Chief Mitch Myers said the inferno was burning too fiercely to save the structure. The Engstroms, three children, were away in Portland and Eugene when contacted by telephone. Partially insured, plans call for rebuilding at another location.
