Forty Pints Donated in Myrtle Point Blood Drive

American Cancer Society Oregon Drive Aimed at Funds

Local Instructors Win National Science Foundation Scholarships
The National Science Foundation awarded scholarships to two local science instructors Ras Hull of Myrtle Point High School and Richard Van Duine of the Elementary school. Hull earns a year at the University of Oregon while Van Duine follows a four summer sequential plan to attend Oregon State University upcoming summer. A former local student Craig Pepper Baker, science instructor at North Bend High, also received similar scholarships and will head to Oregon State, then Palo Alto for a year at Stanford University. Baker is the son of Gayle and the late Mr Baker and has taught in the Amity schools before moving to North Bend.

Fourth Annual Science Fair Set for Myrtle Crest Gym
