Coquille Hosts Pioneer History Society Meeting
Twenty five members attended the Cops and Curry Pioneer and Historical Association meeting in Coquille on March 12 in the Boy Scout room of the Community building. President Henry A Schroeder and Secretary Inez R Chase presided as Emil R Peterson reported progress on the Coos Curry history project and plans for a permanent museum building. The next meeting is set for April 9 with luncheon at 12 30 hosted by the Powers Woman's club.

Saddle Club to Sponsor State Horse Show Rodeo
The Myrtle Point Saddle Club plans a July 3 and 4 horse show and amateur rodeo at the Fair Grounds. Invitations go to Southern and Central Oregon clubs as purses attract top state horses. A non professional rodeo will be directed by an experienced ringmaster. The Oregon State Horseman's Association annual meeting will be in Myrtle Point this year.
