George M. Brown died at Mast hospital from injuries after being struck on the head by falling limbs while employed at the Eden Ridge camp of the Coos Bay Lumber Company. A resident of the Catching Creek district and later Powers, he was born September 4 1887 in Visalia California. Survived by wife Mary Brown daughter Bertha McCall and son Archie Brown.
