Two Hurt In Car Accident Monday
Robert Harold Cline of Broad Bend and John F Waybrandt of 2336 Maple Street were injured in a head on collision on the Roseburg highway near a gravel pit. Cline suffered a fractured hip and shock while Waybrandt had four broken ribs and other injuries. Both were taken to Mast hospital and confined. The incident happened about 5:40 am as police officer Lewis Floyd witnessed the scene. The Waybrandts were observing their 35th wedding anniversary.

Eleven Myrtle Point Bridge area 4 H members depart Tuesday for Oregon State College in Corvallis to attend the 4 H summer school June 11 to 21. Scholarships were awarded by local businesses and individuals. Fifty four delegates from the county will study, with afternoons filled by assemblies and sports and evenings with social activities. Bill and Joe Roush drove two buses to transport the delegates and will bring them back on the 21st.
