In Myrtle Point district meetings, schools reveal planned student placements for 1974-75. Arago will send 1-2 and 3-4 combos with others bused to Myrtle Point. Joe Vogt named teacher-principal for 8-4. Bridge adds 1-2, 4-6 grades with 11 fifth and 12 sixth graders bused in, seven third graders to Broadbent. Broadbent moves grades 1-4 to Maple and 5-6 to Myrtle Crest. Ian Knight principal. Maple hosts 1-2 grades districtwide. Betty King chief for 1974-76. Myrtle Crest Elementary and Junior High receive most grades 5-8, Paul Franzen principal. Dora Elementary adds one 1-4 combo. grades 5-12 bus to Myrtle Point area schools. Loggers Shodeo eliminations set at Coos County Fairgrounds
The Loggers Shodeo eliminations will start at 10 a.m. August 3 at the Coos County Fairgrounds with events in truck driving ax throwing men and women's power saw bucking. Entry forms and rules are available at county power saw shops or from the committee chairmen.
