Geaney Charge To Be Answered By County Officials
A county courthouse press conference is set for 11 a.m. Monday with department heads answering questions on harmony among staff regarding a charge against County Commissioner J. J. Geaney. The charge stems from petitions seeking Geaney's ouster. Florence Hartley services were held at Schroeder's chapel at 10:30 a.m. Monday July 19 with burial in Norway cemetery. Hartley, born June 26, 1801 in Portland, died at 74 in Albany July. She was married December 28, 1906 to David D. Hartley, who preceded her in death January 21.
