Rev and Mrs Richard Cochran welcomed a son named Thomas James born Monday at 1 40 am in the focal hospital. The birth adds a new member to the Cochran family as relatives share in the announcement.
Mr and Mrs Wedd Carlson along with Mr and Mrs Anderson and Mr and Mrs Pege of Eugene spent the Fourth with Mr and Mrs C C Carter and the T G Sumerlins. They also enjoyed the day at the beach in Bandon.
The third annual Leadership Institute for Town and County churches will run July 12 to 26 at Oregon State College. Sponsored by OSU with the Oregon Council of Churches the Archdiocese of Portland and the Home Mission Council of North America the detailed program is divided into daily topics starting with The Rural Church of Oregon in the Modern Setting.
