About 20 carloads of agricultural lime will reach Coos County farms during the last week of July. George Jenkins, County Agricultural Agent, says lime will be shipped in open gondola cars and unloaded at nearby points for bulk spreading or dumping in piles. Costs vary by distance and method, with delivery to farms within 10 miles priced at $11.60 to $12.30 per ton and extra mileage charged beyond 10 miles.

While working at Scott’s camp last Friday Richard Robbins age 22 son of Mrs Ollie Robbins had two fingers and his right thumb torn in the gears of a donkey engine. The fingers were severed and the thumb badly mangled though recovery hopes exist. He was taken to Mast hospital and had worked at the camp only two weeks after a year out of service.
