A gala parade of over 30 cars traveled from Spruce street in Myrtle Point to Coquille Marshfield and North Bend on Tuesday afternoon. The Myrtle Point Chamber of Commerce sponsored the Fourth of July Round-up in Myrtle Point, running Thursday through Saturday. City Marshal Bert Pearson led the procession as the Myrtle Point band played martial music. A Round-Up horse was towed in a trailer behind a car driven by Elton Schroeder. Sterling Fryrear Sempert rode a saddle on the radiator. Cars were decorated with flags streamers and banners while occupants wore ten gallon hats and bright neckerchiefs.
