Nugget Tom and Star Gulch Mystery of Midas Mines
In the Star Gulch area along the South Sixes River an aged prospector nicknamed Nugget Tom pursued a legendary feeder of Starguid. After he vanished in autumn 1871 a search party found his presence lingering in the rugged terrain. In April 1990 Boward Robins and partner revisited the site hoping to verify the buried riches amid old quartz and free gold.

Herbert Adams pleads guilty to livestock larceny and gets 8 months with parole after restituting $15 within 60 days. Frank H Hamlin pleads guilty to an immorality charge and receives two years in the pen.
