Dagit and Schroeder to Debate in Hawaii Tournament

Two Myrtle Point High School seniors Den Dagit and Brice Schroeder plus teacher Mrs. Fern Marr will spend ten days in February at the University of Oregon sponsored speech event in Newall Hawaii. They will depart February 12 and return February 22 to compete on the topic Presidential Selection. The trip is funded by fundraisers.

Coos County Deiry Janet Tucker competes in the 1975 Oregon Princess Contest January 11 to 13 at the Jant Thunderbird Port Miss. She is among 12 candidates with Betty Smith of Crabtree as the current Dairy Princess. Events include a luncheon speech January 12 at 1 and coronation January 13 at noon. Radio KBBR will air the luncheon.

USFS Seeks Summer Seasonal Workers in Siskiyou National Forest

The Siskiyou National Forest invites applications for summer and seasonal employment in fire control and brush work across Greate Pass Cave Junction Chetco Gold Beach and Powers. Applications must be on Standard Form 171 and filed by February 18. Minimum age 16 with high school graduates under 18 eligible.
