City marshal Bart Pearson and C Roper represented Myrtle Point defense at a Marshfield ARP wardens meeting. They reviewed two audible signals for air raids, the two minute Air Raid Warning and All Clear, plus yellow and blue precautionary messages and steps for civilian and industrial responders.
The Myrtle Point Sons club plans a waste paper and scrap metal drive in line with National Defense council recommendations. Mrs. Mast died from a self inflicted gunshot in an upstairs bedroom after a fire set beforehand. Ge To Onerie Bruce Henry and Kathryn Warren Deyoe with Mr and Mrs Ellis Warner leave Monday for Ontario. The Henrys and Mrs Deyoe plan a stay with the Warners at their ranch near Ontario. Irving Cornell and Mrs Cornell visit from Middleton Idaho with their daughter and father. The Cornells formerly lived in Banden where he worked on the Western World. He now farms near Middleton. Albert Davenport and family with Mrs Carl Kesn and kin visit at the Lee Bowsend and others in Baaden.
