Dell Rema Passing Remembered After 95 Years
J L Dell Rema, son of Hiram Farmer Rema and Mary Josephine Mannon, died February 17 at 78. Born March 4, 1866 in Lincoln Nebraska he lived in Wyoming and Coos County as a rodeo performer rancher and showman. He married Effie Lakey in 1913 and later worked on Highway 101 and Catching Creek logging. Services were at Catching Creek cemetery February 20 1986. Led by Reed Gurney and Terry Pullen the Bobcats outscored Coquille 18 13 in the first period and held an 8 point halftime edge. Despite a late Coquille rally Myrtle Point maintained the lead as Gurney Neal and Waterman paced the attack and Reeves noted the win while chasing the final season goals.

Headon Collision Injures Father Fleming and Liday
A head on crash near Norway Friday night left Father Michael Fleming in serious condition at Keizer Memorial hospital in North Bend. Kenton Liday, 17, remained in serious condition at McAuley hospital in Coos Bay. Witnesses using about 40 mph reported the wreck, which totaled both cars, a 61 Ford and an 83 Ford sedan.
