The Colony bar and restaurant project by Mr and Mrs Tom Percy at the Thornton building on 7th Street Spruce is under construction. The complex will include a 41 seat restaurant a 44 seat bar a 21 by 45 foot banquet room and a 40 seat cocktail lounge with Victorian decor.

Marlow Pounds Receives Commission in Naval Air Force
Marlow Pounds is continuing flight training in the Naval Air Force after receiving his commission as Ensign following 14 weeks of pre flight training. His wife Kathy, a Northwest Nazarene College graduate, teaches second grade in Pensacola. After graduation and marriage last June he worked for Leep Logging during summers and in college, and since graduating from Myrtle Point high school in 1960.

Grange Visitation Night Set At McKinley Grange
