Sunday morning ceremony at Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Clinton home united Miss Thelma Rowena Snyder of Myrtle Point and Arthur Hayward of Riverton. Rev. Grange Hosts Play Evening at Schroeder Hall

Grange met Tuesday night in Schroeder hall with Worthy Master Roy Robison presiding. Mostwestern Grange Langlois presented a play. Smith-Hughes boys demonstrated a saw filing, Rev Renton played a selection with a saw. A rooster fight drew attention. Coos County Fire Departments Meet at North Bend

A meeting of all Coos County fire departments was held in North Bend on Tuesday evening February 21. The gathering elected Chief Lumas of North Bend president and Milton Craven of Arlie Point secretary. Attending departments agreed to meet monthly to discuss mutual problems. Next meeting set for Myrtle Point with G F Hughes and Milton Craven in attendance.

The Myrtle Point city council discussed the water system and replacing aged mains at Monday’s meeting but no action was taken due to differing opinions on where to start. All members and the mayor attended, and no other business of note was conducted.

Jean Guerin, a sophomore in home economics at Oregon State College, is among 13 worker students recently awarded the minor "O" by the Women's Athletic Association. Points are earned through athletic activities, with 500 points required to win the award.

Father and Son Banquet Tuesday by Future Farmers of America

The annual father and son banquet for Smith-Hughes students will be held Tuesday February 28 in the local high school auditorium. Twin Oaks resident Miss Sylvia Mannila 18 will marry Einer John Reisen of Reedsport in a Saturday morning ceremony performed by Judge D F Thompson. Fugitives Fire After Encounter With Night Marshal
