Bid set for Coos Bay Rosburg Highway segment
Oregon State Highway Commission will open bids on February 28 in Salem for grading and oiling 3.64 miles of the Coos Bay Roseburg Highway from Bridge eastward to Remote west of Bridge. The Bloodmobile in Myrtle Point on Tuesday the 13th drew 66 pints with 11 donors deferred for various reasons. Donors included Mire. Al Cupinski who earned three gallons, and Mrs. Wayne Turner, Mrs. Richard Deaver, and Mrs. Bert Gasner receiving one gallon pins. Lions Club supplied canteen services. Dr F Beber attended as physician. nurses included Mrs. E. F. Beber and Mrs. Clay Caffee. reception by Mrs. Donald Troxell. The Donor Room chair was Mrs. Cupinski with a long helper list. Bob's Chevron Service offered free tax service during operation.

PP&L to Spend Over 1.9 Million in Coos District
