The Myrtle Crest school district presents a mid winter band concert at Myrtle Crest Gym next Thursday February 22 at 8 p m featuring bands from 7th 8th and 9th grades and the high school band. Directors are Bob Zimble man and Les Simons. Admission is free.
Dr Robert Whittaker veterinarian and Charles Poehlitz vice president and manager of Security Bank will be inducted into the Coquille Toastmasters club at the March 1 meeting. Bill Ruhmann Georgia-Pacific timber and land manager was installed last Thursday with Dr Bob Ley giving the membership charge to Rahman in a fine speech on Toastmasters purpose and benefits.
Local solicitations for the Oregon Heart Association begin this week with Mrs. Frank Meldrum as general chairman. High school seniors volunteer as solicitors and details of their campaign organization will be announced next week.
