Forest land study area to be set after public comments
Forest officials will prepare a study area after comments are received. March of Dimes drive raises 810 in Myrtle Point area
The Myrtle Point area campaign under chairwoman Mrs. Colleen Reno raised 810 after a door to door drive in Myrtle Point Arago Broadbent Bridge and the Catching Creek area. Thirty nine local women participated in the Mother's March fundraising effort.

Edward O Summers joined the Myrtle Point Police Department in January 1971 and became chief last August. A former deputy sheriff with Coos County for 4 1/2 years the officer received Civil Service awards and a $1,500 grant for an Arthur Flea ming nomination and a $1,000 grant for a computerised system. Summers, a Monterey California native, has an AA from UC Davis and is married with five children.
