Myrtle Point dropped the first half of the 1945 Coon county league second half at North Bend 43 to 40 as North Bend chilled the defense late with three straight field goals. Walton led Myrtle Point with 16 points while Wieo added 8 and Bolloni 7. Myrtle Point B squad beat the Bull dog B's 28 to 17 in the preliminary. Funeral services were held Friday at 2 00 p m at Howe Sweet Home funeral chapel in Lebanon for Irvin Nelson 61 who died at Lebanon hospital after months of illness. A Cros County native he had lived much of his life there then moved to Lebanon. Survived by wife Ed pusona sons Howard and Herman of Sweet Home daughters Elinor Nelson Madge Fite of Sweet Home Lila McLaughlin of Powers and brother Donald Nelson of Bandon.
