Dora Man's Home Razed By Fire

Wm Woodward of Elk Creek faced a fire Friday evening that destroyed his home and all contents. He was alone, deaf, and unaware of the blaze until burning debris fell around him. He burned his hands trying to save items and lost about $50 in money and belongings. He planned to stay with a brother in Marshfield but later contemplated moving to his other ranch house.

Broadbent Girl Wed At Cornelius

The marriage of Mins Bowens lharmann daughter of Mr and Mrs George Hermann of Broadbent to Charles Kitcham of Hillsboro occurred Saturday at 8 o clock at the Lester Mooberroy home in Cornelius. Rev Charles Reed of Hillsboro Methodist church performed the ceremony witnessed by about 29 friends and relatives. The couple will reside in Hillsboro where both are employed.

County Arrests Report New County Jailings and Bail

County records list W M Brown, 60, jailed for atnox cation charge after a Saturday commitment by Bandon city recorder. He paid a $50 fine and served five days. Walter Jemtegard, 44, was committed to the state hospital on Tuesday. Walter Greve, 31, jailed Tuesday by the circus court for tow support, placed under $1000 bail.

Presbyterian Aid Holiday Affairs Celebrate Christmas Spirit

The Presbyterian Ladies Aid hosted a Christmas party at the church parlors with 48 attendees. Tables around a decorated tree featured gumdhops and treats as gifts were dispersed, followed by refresh ments. The next evening the choir and spouses surprised Mrs W A Couden with a necklace. Coos Firemen Meet On Rural Fire Protection

Coos County Firemen's association will meet at Myrtle Point city hall on January 17 with a speaker from the state fire marshal's office in Salem. Many residents from surrounding communities are invited to attend this meeting which will address rural fire protection issues.

Firemen arrived to a red glow at Point High School as youths were warned. Fire crews found a small blaze in an old building adjacent to the campus. No damage reported and no injuries were listed.
